Celebrating 25 Years in Marathon, Texas!
The Big Bend region’s greatest attraction is, of course, Big Bend National Park—the seventh-largest national park in the lower 48 and one of the least visited. That means wide-open trails, quiet vistas, and space to breathe.
But you might be surprised by how many fun and vibrant events our tiny town of Marathon hosts—especially in the coming year!
In 2026, Eve’s Garden turns 25, and we’re celebrating with 25 Events for 25 Years.
Follow here and on our Instagram and Facebook for announcements on these fun gatherings!

Viva Big Bend Annual Music Festival is held all around Far West Texas. In 2013, the festival will host events at nearly a dozen venues in the towns of Alpine, Fort Davis, Marathon and Marfa. More than 50 bands (representing a wide variety of genres) will entertain. There are many other events happening during VBB, including an art show, kids’ activities and functions geared toward musicians/music-industry reps. 2012 was the first year of the music festival, and it was a big success – we recommend booking tickets (and hotel rooms) early this year.
