The purpose of this page is to see if a link to spamcop.net on the same page as the email address a58gnr8j5@hotmail.com will cause harvesters not to use this address. I will set up a control address on another page with out the spamcop link. I gave the address a random name composed of letters and numbers in order to avoid being pegged by "dictionary" attacks. This way, I assume, any spam that comes will be from harvesting the address from this site.
The theory behind this is that the spammers don't want to get busted by their ISP's and since spamcop is the easiest way to bust them they might start programming their harvesters to ignore email addresses on pages that mention spamcop.net. I won't put a link to the other page here in case this page might "contaminate" it by being one step removed, but you can find the linkhere.
