Art
A gallery is slated for construction at North Third Street and Avenue C in Marathon. We exhibit art from local artists in the guest rooms at Eve's Garden. As much as possible we will present images of gallery art on this site, so if you can't make it to Marathon to see it in person, you can see it here.
Here are some artists of the Big Bend area:

terlingua house projects gallery - located in downtown Alpine and working to engage the community with art that provides an inspirational challenge, and in that engagement to provide the artist with her own inspiration and insight for the next stage of work. They have featured the work of Marathon artist Monte Schatz.
- Sotol Gallery - a fine art photography gallery located in Marathon, Texas, specializing in black and white photography, with an accent on the Big Bend and the Chihuahuan Desert.

Matt Cartwright in Oregon is making functional art, sculpture and custom furniture.
steel dome
This is a view from beneath the dome at 33rd and Yamhill. The steel dome design is patterned from the growth pattern of seeds in a sunflower.
bench and fence
A bench at the corner of N. Albina and Sumner, part of Albina Green. the seating surface is made of old chrome bumpers. the frame and fence are made of steel and bike frames that are welded and powdercoated. The fence panels are made of discarded bike frames.
bird bath
A birdbath made of a hand pounded copper dish fitted to a 22" diameter bike rim. The base is made of found stainless steel pieces.
garden moai
Add an aire of mysticism to your garden with a Garden Moai. This sculpture is inspired by the monumental heads on Easter Island. Discarded fence post footings transform into artifacts that can be enjoyed for many generations. Each Moai has its own base post and can stand on or be fixed to the ground.
